Goslyn FAQs
Common questions about Goslyn grease management solutions
Goslyn is a grease management brand acquired by ACO, specializing in grease interceptors and separators for commercial kitchens, restaurants, and food service operations.
Goslyn products are used in commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, cafeterias, and any food service operation that needs to manage fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in their wastewater.
Proper grease management prevents FOG from entering municipal sewer systems where it can cause blockages and environmental issues. Many municipalities require grease interceptors for food service establishments.
Goslyn units are automatic grease removal devices (AGRD) that use gravity / hydrostatic separation with no moving parts — no motors, scrapers, or timers. They operate around 40°C (104°F) to keep FOG liquid so it floats and is automatically drawn off for recovery, reaching up to 99.6% separation efficiency. A solids-capture basket retains particles down to about 1/16" and a silt valve removes organic sludge daily, eliminating routine grease-trap pumping.
The Goslyn US line is sized by flow rate: GOS20 (4 GPM), GOS60 (15 GPM), GOS160 (50 GPM), and GOS320 (100 GPM). All are built from 304 stainless steel with 2.5 mm exterior and 1.5 mm interior walls, and recovered FOG is suitable for biodiesel recycling.
